CNNIC and NIDA Jointly Held the First “Naming Services Symposium”
 
CNNIC and National Internet Development Agency of Korea (NIDA) jointly held the first “Naming Services Symposium” in Xiamen, China from Dec.5 to 8, 2006.

The two parties deeply discussed over technical issues on ENUM, RFID, Keyword, IPv6, DNS and wireless keyword, from aspects both of current situation and develop trends. CNNIC and NIDA were all satisfied with the achievement they had made on the meeting and planed to collaborate on relevant technology and application fields. The venue and time for the second symposium have been set as well.

As registries for country code top level domains, CNNIC (China) and NIDA (Korea) are all responsible for constructing national Internet infrastructures. For the past several years, the two organizations had collaborated well on drafting international standard, carrying out online survey and providing domain name resolution services. Exchanging technical experiences can further benefit mutual understanding and collaboration on Internet-oriented technology researches.
